Our twenty-fifth anniversary is coming up in just a few short months, so let's celebrate! What are your thoughts on how we can best mark this momentous occasion? Vote in the poll at the bottom of the blog -- or, even better, leave a comment and let's get the discussion started!
Single night chat room adventure? Maybe even something we haven't played before, like Gamma World? M&M? Deathwatch?
ReplyDeleteI'd be up for that. One thing to keep in mind is that if we're playing something that most people have never played before, it would require a lot of prep work beforehand. We'd need to make sure that people had a solid grasp on the rules and their characters' abilities so as not to bog down the game event.
ReplyDeleteI think that's why Gamma World came to mind - we could always skip the card portion of the game - the rest is pretty much 4E D&D.
ReplyDeleteTim W and I have messed around with Gamma World a bit over the last couple of years, using it as a replacement for the Hero System in our old cyberpunk campaign. It's worked pretty well. I'd say Gamma World would be a strong contender.

ReplyDeleteWe could always go old-school with the original red box D&D and an excerpt from a classic module, too...
Also a good idea...we may need to do more than one event!
